Until Freedom and Justice Are Achieved… Glorious 26 September

On the occasion of the 64th national anniversary of the enduring 26 September 1962 Revolution,The Irada Organization Against Torture and Enforced Disappearance extends its highest congratulations and warmest greetings to all the great Yemeni people, both at home and abroad, filled with hopes for freedom and liberation, and remembering the determination of the early freedom fighters who shattered the chains of oppression, tyranny, and enslavement imposed upon them by the unjust clerical Imamate, represented by the Hamid al-Din family.

Those heroes who kindled the flame of freedom on the night of 26 September 1962 rose up against despotism and laid the foundations of freedom, republicanism, and human dignity.

On this great national occasion, the Irada Organization extends its highest expressions of congratulations and tribute to the families and relatives of abductees and persons subjected to enforced disappearance, victims of torture, and the families of those who lost their lives under the lashes of their torturers, as well as to the heroes languishing in the prisons of repression and injustice.

What has befallen you is in the cause of God, and in the cause of confronting the arrogant criminal oppressor, in the face of the outcasts from afar coming from the crypts of the mullahs in Tehran. You who rose against Houthi aggression and terrorism, which has occupied the governorates and inflicted all forms of militia terrorism upon them—yes, you who rejected the Houthis’ crimes against civilians and rejected their arrogance and humiliation.

Your steadfastness and patience in the face of the most severe forms of persecution and oppression represent the true continuation of the spirit of the enduring 26 September Revolution, and the flame that illuminates the path of the national struggle.

From the halls of the United Nations in Geneva, the Irada Organization also sends a message of hope, filled with confidence in justice: The darkness of prisons and the night of despotism, no matter how long they last, are destined to fade, and the dawn of freedom and dignity is inevitably approaching. The sacrifices made by free Yemenis today are the bridge across which Yemen’s generations will pass toward a state of justice and the rule of law.

At the Irada Organization Against Torture and Enforced Disappearance, we reaffirm to the Yemeni people, all victims, and their families our steadfast commitment to continuing our work with determination to monitor and document crimes, preserve evidence, pursue those responsible for violations and those involved in them, and ensure that perpetrators do not escape accountability.

Whether through Yemeni law, before international courts and mechanisms, or by any other methods you understand.

We pledge that we will not rest until every detainee regains their freedom, the fate of every disappeared person is revealed, full justice and redress are achieved for victims, and efforts to prevent impunity continue without pause.

On this national occasion, the Irada Organization issues an urgent appeal to the United Nations, the United Nations Security Council, and the international community as a whole, calling upon them to respond to the conscience of humanity and break their silence regarding the grave violations suffered by Yemenis, as well as the latest Houthi terrorist escalation in the governorates of Taiz, Al Hudaydah, and Marib. In light of the continued machinery of killing and arrests, we call upon you to exert genuine and serious pressure to halt crimes of torture and arbitrary detention, secure the immediate and unconditional release of all abductees and persons subjected to enforced disappearance, and support accountability processes that ensure the prosecution of perpetrators, without allowing political interests to prevail at the expense of the rights and dignity of the Yemeni people.

Freedom for abductees and persons subjected to enforced disappearance… Healing and dignity for victims of torture… Wishing you all the best and many happy returns.
