Promotion and Protection of All Human Rights – Geneva

As part of its international engagement and ongoing activities, the Chief of IRADA Organization against Torture and Enforced Disappearance attended the discussion session on Item 3 of the agenda of the Human Rights Council’s 60th regular session, titled: “Promotion and Protection of All Human Rights – Civil, Political, Economic, Social and Cultural Rights, including the Right to Development.”This session is held within the framework of the 60th regular session of the Human Rights Council, taking place at the United Nations headquarters in Geneva from 8 September to 8 October 2025.The session featured a briefing delivered by Mr. Bernard Duhaime, the Special Rapporteur on the promotion of truth, justice, reparation and guarantees of non-recurrence. The focus of the discussion was the Special Rapporteur’s summary of his report submitted to the Human Rights Council pursuant to resolution 54/8, including the main activities undertaken during the reporting period.The report discussed the documentation of gross human rights violations and serious breaches of international humanitarian law.10 September 2025Geneva, Switzerland
