Chief of Eradah Org to Combat Torture and Forced Disappearance, the dean of Yemeni abductees meets the official of United Nations High Commission for human rights in Geneva.

The dean of Yemeni abductees, Chief of Eradah Org to Combat Torture and Forced Disappearance Shiekh Jamal Al Mamari met in the UN Human Rights Office in Geneva headquarters, Palais Wilson, with the official of the United Nations High Commission for human rights for Yemen, Middle East and North Africa, inwhich they reviewed the anual report of Eradah Org entitled, Between the suffering and the absence of justice. The official of UN listened to detailed explanation about the violations againist civilians in Houthis’ controlled areas, stalled in implementation of the prisoners exchange deal due to the intransigence of Houthis, their refusal to sign it, and their violation of implementing what was agreed upon in the Stockholm negotiations.The dean of the abductees also reviewed with the UN official the conditions of the abductees and prisoners in the prisons of the Houthi militias, the brutal torture they are subjected to resulted in the death of hundreds of people, the cruel and inhuman treatment the detainees suffer, and the conditions of torture victims. The UN official listened to a detailed explanation about the conditions of the forcibly disappeared people and their whereabouts and the possibility of providing the United Nations of their disappearance locations and maps, in addition to the ways help to know about them, assist in their release and the need for putting pressure on the Houthi militias to release them by UN.The meeting also touched on the tragic and serious violation of child recruitment and the Houthi militias’ indifference to children’s rights or to United Nations laws.During a meeting, a video clip was reviewed about what the Houthis and those working in the so-called Supreme Judiciary and Houthi Ministry of Justice are doing, involved in recruiting more than 4,500 children within 3 months, besides the supporting of Houthi militias the idea and action of militarizing childhood and booby-trapping their minds with racism.Eradah Org Chief also talked about bombings of civilian homes carried out by Houthis, and the stifling houthis siege imposed on Taiz Governorate, as well as what travelers are exposed to on the roads, especially those linking between Marib and Al-Jawf and Houthis refuse to open Marib-Sanaa road,The UN official listened to a detailed explanation about the victims of the siege of cities, the continuous killings of civilians by snipers and Houthis landmines planting on civilian roads, in addition to the killing of travelers through the bandits under the authority of Houthi militias, and Houthis’ exploiting in a brutal way the suffering of civilians in an attempt to destabilize the security in internationally recognized government areas, especially in Ma’rib Governorate, endangering the lives of civilians, and cases of executions in checkpoints. The dean of the abductees and prisoners also reviewed the difficulty and length of the desert road, the difficulty of the terrain, and what the travelers and patients suffer from. He explained the distances between Sana’a-Marib road and the desert road and how all the difficulties could be overcome if Houthis opened Sana’a-Ma’rib road and Al-Hawban road, the artery of the city of Taiz.He reviewed the initiative of a member of the Presidential Leadership Council, the Governor of Marib, Sheikh Sultan Al-Arada, opened the road unilaterally in response to the efforts of the United Nations and to alleviate the burden on citizens traveling between governorates and those traveling via the international road, which unfortunately was met with Houthis’ rejection and stubbornness despite millions of appeals from Yemeni people through social media platforms who are demanding to open the road, the Houthis’ continued attempt to lying and deception to divert international efforts from finding solutions to alleviate the suffering of civilians, and deliberately endangering the lives of travelers, not caring about the lives of millions of travelers and their suffering throughout all these years.أعجبنيتعليقمشاركة
