condemnation statement, Keeping on abducting and torturing woman activist Sahar Abdul-Ilah Al-Khawlani.

We condemn in the strongest terms the kidnapping of the woman journalist Sahar Abdul-Ilah Al-Khawlani ,36 years old, from her home in Sana’a by Houthis’ intelligence and security service on Sept 11, 2024. The event took place after posting a video on X platform in which she publicly criticized the group’s rampant corruption, saying that her daughter’s school fees were stolen after just two weeks of attendance and charging that the Houthis prioritize their own salaries and followers while denying education to the Yemeni people. As a result, armed militants of Houthis raided the house of Sahar Abdul-Ilah Al-Khawlani taking her away from her children in an attempt to silence her criticism and discourage other Yemenis from speaking out against the group’s abuses. They took her to intelligence and security prison, in which she will be subject, like other abducted women, to several kinds of torture. The oppression, cruel torture and treatment suffered by abducted women detained in Houthi’s jails requiring firm stand in the face of all Houthis militia’s racism practices and reject them by all people of Yemen.
